German, French, Dutch ministers call for review of all M&A at 'digital gatekeepers'

All mergers and acquisitions by major digital platforms with a gatekeeper position should be able to get assessed by an EU regulator, German Minister Peter Altmaier (Economy and Energy), French Minister Bruno Le Maire (Economy and Finance), French State Secretary Cedric O (Digitization) and Dutch State Secretary Mona Keijzer (Economic Affairs and Climate) said in a jointly published proposal. EU ministers will take up the subject on Thursday 27 May in Brussels.
