Global IT market to hit USD 3.9 trillion in 2020 on enterprise software spend

Global IT spending is forecast to reach USD 3.9 trillion in 2020, up 3.4 percent from 2019, driven above all by spending on enterprise software, according to the latest prediction from Gartner. Ever-increasing adoption of software as a service (SaaS) will see enterprise software spend rise 10.5 percent year on year to USD 503 billion, with investment in IT services expected to grow 5.0 percent to USD 1.08 trillion, said Gartner.
