Google adds IoT device management to cloud services platform

Google announced a new platform called Google Cloud IoT Core to help its customers connect and manage IoT devices on the Google Cloud Platform. The fully managed service allows customers to securely connect globally distributed devices to GCP, centrally manage them and build rich applications by integrating with Google's data analytics services. All data ingestion, scalability, availability and performance needs are automatically managed, in the same way as other Google Cloud services. The IoT Core service is initially available in a private beta, with hardware partners Actions Semiconductor,
