Google Cloud CEO steps down, succeeded by Oracle cloud executive

Google Cloud CEO Diane Greene will be stepping down from her position from January. In a blog post, Greene said she will be succeeded by former Oracle product head Thomas Kurian, who will be joining Google on 26 November. Greene will stay through January to ensure a smooth transition and remain a director on the Alphabet board. Greene began at Google in December 2015 and said the original goal had been to stay two years. She will now move into investing and philanthropy.
