
Google completes AdMob acquisition

Google has closed its acquisition of mobile advertising network AdMob for USD 750 million. Google will bring together its technology, resources and expertise in search advertising with AdMob's products for advertising on mobile websites and in mobile applications. Both companies will now begin the process of bringing products and teams together, and building new products and feature. As previously announced, Google intends to repurchase in the open market a number of shares equal to the number of shares issued in the transaction and issuable upon exercise of outstanding options to purchase common stock issued by AdMob. The repurchase programme is expected to commence shortly after the completion of the acquisition. The repurchases will be funded from available working capital. Both companies are working to make this integration happen as fast as possible and will update as they bring their businesses together.
