Google expands Cardboard sales outside US
Google has expanded sales of its Cardboard virtual reality viewer outside the US for the first time. It's now available for sale in Canada, the UK, Germany and France, for CAD 20/GBP15/EUR 20. Users insert their smartphones in the cardboard holder in order to view 360-degree videos and virtual reality content on Google's sites.

Separately TechCrunch reports that Google may release a more advanced, standalone virtual reality device at its I/O developers conference next week. It cites the entrepreneur and former tech journalist Peter Rojas, who tweeted: "Android VR will definitely be announced next week, and from what I’ve heard will be less powerful than the Vive or Rift."
