Google grows Q3 revenues 23% to USD 7.3 bln
Google reported revenues of USD 7.29 billion for the third quarter, up 23 percent from a year earlier. Revenues form outside the US reached 52 percent of the total or USD 3.77 billion. Traffic acquisition costs, which are shared with customers and included in revenues, totaled USD 1.81 billion, or 26 percent of advertising revenues. Operating profit rose to USD 2.55 billion from USD 2.07 billion a year ago, with the margin stable at 35 percent. Net profit was USD 2.17 billion or USD 6.72 per share, up from USD 1.64 billion or USD 5.13 per share in the third quarter of 2009. After generating net cash from operations of USD 2.89 billion in Q3, Google finished September with a total USD 33.4 billion in cash. The company's headcount rose to 23,331 from 21,805 three months earlier.
