Google launches storage service Google Drive

Google has confirmed the launch of a new online storage service called Google Drive. Users can access the service and their stored content from any fixed or mobile internet connection, with an Android app already available and an iOS app planned. Users can also make selected files open to sharing with others, add and reply to comments on stored documents, and receive notifications when others post comments on shared items. Google Drive comes with an initial 5GB storage free. Users can upgrade to 25GB for USD 2.49 per month, 100GB for USD 4.99 and 1TB for USD 49.99. By choosing a paid account, they also get increased storage on Gmail of 25GB. Normal storage on Gmail was increased to 10GB from 7.5GB to coincide with the launch of Google Drive.
