Google prepares Dropbox rival - report
Google is close to launching a cloud-storage service to rival Dropbox, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. To be called Drive, the Google service allows people to store photos, documents and videos on Google's servers so that they are accessible from any web-connected device and can be easily shared with others. The service is expected to launch in the coming weeks or months and will be free for most consumers and businesses. Google will charge a fee to those who want to store a large amount of files. The service is expected to form part of Google Apps.
