
Google revenue up 33% in Q3 to USD 9.72 billion

Google has reported revenue of USD 9.72 billion for Q3 2011, up 33 percent from USD 7.29 billion a year earlier. GAAP operating income in Q3 was USD 3.06 billion, or 31 percent of revenues. This compares to GAAP operating income of USD 2.55 billion, or 35 percent of revenue, in Q3 2010. GAAP net income in the third quarter of 2011 was USD 2.73 billion, compared to USD 2.17 billion a year earlier. Google-owned sites generated revenues of USD 6.74 billion, or 69 percent of total revenues, in Q3 2011, up 39 percent from USD 4.83 billion in Q3 2010. Google's partner sites generated revenues, through AdSense programmes, of USD 2.60 billion, or 27 percent of total revenues, in Q3 2011, up 18 percent from USD 2.20 billion a year earlier. Revenues from outside of the US totaled USD 5.3 billion, representing 55 percent of total revenues in Q3 2011, compared to 54 percent in Q2 2011 and 52 percent in Q3 2010. Revenues from the UK totalled USD 1.05 billion in Q3, accounting for 11 percent of total revenue, compared to 12 percent in Q3 2010.
