
HTC acquires mobile-web connected services provider Dashwire

HTC has acquired mobile-web connected services platform provider Dashwire, maker of the Dashworks platform. The Dashworks platform is designed to provide mobile and web applications, enabling people to setup and personalize their smartphones, and access their mobile content across multiple screens and services. According to TechCrunch, the acquisition price is up to USD 18.5 million. Dashwire will become a wholly owned subsidiary of HTC. HTC plans to use Dashwire's cloud sync and device set up products to extend the HTCSense.com cloud services it launched in 2010.
