HTC reported first-quarter revenues of TWD 104.16 billion, up 175 percent from a year earlier. This was better than its earlier forecast for revenues of TWD 94 billion. In March alone, revenues rose 124.5 percent to TWD 37.0 billion. Quarterly operating profit at the smartphone maker tripled to TWD 16.5 billion, and net profit rose to TWD 14.8 billion from TWD 5.0 billion a year earlier. HTC will hold a conference call on 29 April to discuss the results further.
