HTC revenues fall 19.6% in November
HTC reported revenues for November down 19.6 percent compared to a year earlier to TWD 30.94 billion. Revenues for the first 11 months of the year are still up 78.9 percent from the year-earlier period. HTC earlier warned for a slowdown in sales growth in the fourth quarter, forecasting quarterly revenues up 20-30 percent from a year earlier to TWD 125-135 billion. In October, its revenues rose 36.0 percent year-on-year to TWD 44.1 billion.

HTC sues broker after downgrade

HTC filed a complaint in Taiwan against a Citigroup employee after the broker downgraded its recommendation on the company. HTC submitted the case in August, claiming alleged violations of the Securities and Exchange Act, Huang Mou-hsin, deputy chief prosecutor at the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, told Bloomberg. HTC sees sales growth slowing in Q4

HTC said it expects its handset shipments to slow to 12.0-13.0 million units in the fourth quarter, after shipping 13.2 million devices in the third quarter. The forecast means annual growth will drop to 31-42 percent, from a rate of 93 percent in the third quarter. The company posted third-quarter sales up 79 percent from a year earlier to TWD 135.8 billion, led by a nine-fold increase in sales in China. HTC Q3 sales soar almost 80% to TWD 135.8 bln

HTC said unaudited sales soared almost 80 percent year-on-year in the third quarter to TWD 135.8 billion. The unaudited operating profit was at TWD 2.0 billion, the net income before tax at TWS 2.12 billion and the net profit after tax at TWD 1.86 billion. Earnings per share for the quarter amounted to TWD 22.03.
