Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has stopped selling its phones in the UK as the result of an ongoing parent dispute with German intellectual property management and patent licensing company IPCom, reports BBC News.
HTC had previously agreed to sell smartphones in the UK with a workaround in a dispute over wireless technology developed for car phones. However. IPCom claims that tests conducted earlier in 2019 show that HTC has not implemented the workaround. HTC's online store in the UK is currently listing all smartphone models as 'out of stock'.
