Huawei debuts GreenSite and PowerStar2.0 low-carbon infra platforms

Huawei has taken advantage of its appearance at the 2021 Global Mobile Broadband Forum (MBBF) to launch two new platforms designed to help operators build green, low-carbon 5G networks. The first, dubbed GreenSite, integrates innovative architecture, site construction and algorithms with edge software and hardware to improve energy efficiency 20-fold. The PowerStar2.0 system, meanwhile, introduces new energy-saving features to base stations and networks to reduce energy consumption by over 25 percent through multi-dimensional coordination.
