Huawei has announced the launch of a new high-capacity data centre interconnection platform at its Industrial Digital Transformation Conference in Shenzen. The OptiXtrans DC908 supports single-wavelength 800G and flexible selection of 100G to 800G as well as Super C+L technology. Huawei said the technology is designed to meet the challenges of digital peaks in the cloud era, help ISP customers build ultra-broadband data centre interconnection, continuously reduce costs per bit and maximise the value of fibre-optic cables.
The 2 U device supports speeds of up to 12.8 Tbps and integrates optical and electrical layers plus five types of boards, saving device space and fiber connections. In addition, the network-level web GUI enables the entire network device to be managed without installation of the NMS.
In addition, Huawei's AI technology implements intelligent network O&M, detects whether the working fibre and protection fibre are in the same fibre/cable, and ensures that the working fibre and protection fibre are separated with a view to improving network availability.
