
Inspired by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain, the Honor 5X's aluminum alloy body blends a curved design with ergonomic principles to fit comfortably in the user's hands. On the back it has a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone as well as other gesture controls such as making a call or launching an app during locked mode, taking photos, pulling down and hiding the notification bar as well as canceling an alarm.
The 13MP back-facing camera features a F2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens, blue glass infrared filter, and a macro mode for close-up shots. The 5MP front-facing camera includes a F2.4 aperture, 22mm wide-angle lens and an 88-degree viewing angle. Other features include a 5.5-inch, 10-point multi-touch Full-HD IPS display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory, 3,000 mAh battery and microSD card slot.
Honor is also launching the Z1 smartband, a lightweight, water-resistant wearable with health, sports and fitness tracking capabilities. The Z1 tracks daily activities, automatically recognizes walking and running and calculates calorie burn. With a scratch resistant steel body and OLED touch with 128-by-128 pixel resolution, the band is also water resistant up to IP68 and offers up to three days battery life. The Z1 shows notifications for incoming calls and smart alarms and is compatible with devices running Android 4.4.4 or above and iOS 7.0 or above.
