Huawei opens store in Bucharest's largest mall
Huawei opened its first dedicated store in Bucharest’s largest mall, AFI Cotroceni, according to local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Huawei. With the launch of its new store, the Chinese company further pursues its target of becoming the first player on the smartphone market in Romania in terms of sales. Huawei is behind market leader Samsung in terms of the number and value of delivered phones. Samsung also has stores selling exclusively the company's products.

The Huawei Experience Shop will allow consumers to discover and get acquainted with Huawei's interconnected and intelligent ecosystem, Huawei said in a statement. The space will have a space of 48 square meters.

Huawei Romania became the leader on the tablet market at the end of 2018, according to Ziarul Financiar citing Huawei Consumer Business Group's Country Manager for Romania Zachary Jianglinchao. Huawei is also the second-largest player on the local smartphone market, he said.

Huawei Consumer Business Group South Africa has announced the official opening of its first service store in KwaZulu-Natal, at the Cornubia Mall in Durban. It joins Huawei's other three stores in Melrose Arch in Johannesburg and Canal Walk and Somerset, in Cape Town.  Customers can look forward to mobile training sessions, onsite device repairs and an extensive range of Huawei accessories to choose from, for all products.

TCMM to distribute Honor smartphones in Romania from mid-February

Huawei's smartphone brand Honor will be brought to Romania by Central and Eastern Europe distributor TCCM in the first half February, according to local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Honor country manager for Romania and Greece, Shen Wang. He was speaking during an interview with the media in Romania. Wang said Honor is in the process of completing the team that will manage the business in Romania. Wang said the 2019 and 2022 smartphone sales targets for Romania are 3 percent and 7 percent, respectively.
