Huawei ships over 20 million Honor phones in H1
Huawei's brand Honor shipped more smartphones in the first half of 2015 than in all of 2014, according to the company. Honor generated revenues of USD 2.63 billion, selling more than 20 million devices. The Honor brand accounted for just under half of the in total 48.2 million smartphones sold by Huawei in the first six months of the year. The Honor 4X and Honor 6+ accounted for much of the growth in sales, with the 6+ alone selling more than 3 million units. Honor has been expanding to more countries, but the vast majority of its sales are still in Huawei's home market China. Of the around 20 million devices sold in H1, only 3 million were outside China.
