Huawei is planning to open a new flagship store in Brussels in the coming months, Walter Ji, head of the Consumer Business Group in Europe, told Data News. In addition, the company plans to bring its smart glasses to Belgium soon.
The new store will be in the Avenue Louise, a popular area for high-end shops like the Apple Store. It was expected to open by Christmas, but will likely be delayed to January or February, Ji said.
The shop will feature more than just smartphones and tablets, promoting Huawei's vision of smart connectivity across the office, home, in health, mobility and leisure. It adds to an existing Huawei service centre in downtown Brussels, opened in 2015.
What will happen before the end of the year is the launch in Belgium of Huawei's smart eyewear developed with Gentle Monster, Ji said. No pricing for the product has been given yet, but the glasses are already on sale in other European countries for just under EUR 400.
