Hulu unveils Hulu Plus premium subscription video service
Free online VoD service Hulu has introduced Hulu Plus, its ad-supported, premium subscription service. Available for USD 9.99 per month, the service includes HD access to full season runs of shows from Fox, ABC, and NBC. Hulu Plus subscribers will also have access to back seasons or full runs of popular TV's shows. Hulu Plus subscribers can access the content on multiple platforms, including PCs, iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or third-generation iPod Touch, Samsung Blu-ray players, and soon the PlayStation 3. Hulu Plus subscribers using Samsung internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players can download a Hulu Plus application from the Samsung app store and start streaming Hulu Plus directly. The service is currently exclusively available to select Hulu members who have been invited. Members can request an invitation at the Hulu webpage.
