Hungary has more than 9 million mobile phone users
The number of mobile users in Hungary grew from 8.976 million at the end of July, to 9.02 million on 31 August, according to the Hungarian telecoms operator NHH. Of those users 8.35 million acitvely used their SIM cards during the past three months. This means that 89.4 percent of all Hungarians have a mobile phone, compared with 89.4 percent in August. T-Mobile Hungary has the largest share of the market: 45.29 percent, followed by Pannon GSM with 34.11 percent. While Vodafone Hungary has managed to grow its market share slightly, from 20.38 percent to 20.60 percent, the other operators lost a little of their market share.
