Imec accelerator programme gets capital injection, grows to EUR 30.5 mln

Imec.istart, the open accelerator programme of Belgian research institute Imec, has received a capital injection, growing to EUR 30.5 million from 12.5 million. The maximum investment in any technology start-up will now increase to EUR 250,000 from 150,000. The Flemish government implemented the capital increase in collaboration with the private partners who have been involved in the fund from the start, namely Imec, ING, BNP Paribas Fortis, Telenet and Cronos Group.
