
Indonesian communications provider Indosat has recorded its nine months net income of IDR 1.45 trillion, up 56 percent from the year-ago period. The company recorded operating revenues and operating income of IDR 11.88 trillion and IDR 3.2 trillion, up 34 percent and 31 percent respectively. Mobile revenues grew by 38 percent IDR 9.15 trillion, which is mainly driven by the increase of its subscribers to 22 million subscribers or a total net add of 5.3 million subscribers from end of 2006. The fixed data revenues grew 11 percent to IDR 1.41 trillion primarily contributed by the growth of demand in internet, leased lines and IPVPN services. Operating revenues from fixed voice services increased 42.6 percent to IDR 1.16 trillion mainly due to change of reporting format, increase of international call revenue and increase of fixed wireless services revenue. The Indosat saw EBITDA margin of 57.5 percent in net revenue format or equal with 52.7 percent in gross revenue format. The company had IDR 3.438 billion cash at the end of the period.
