Intel said it was working with Luxembourg-based Skype Technologies to help modify the latter’s internet phone software to make it work better on new processors which carry out multiple tasks simultaneously, Bloomberg reports, citing Intel vice president Patrick Gelsinger. The move will enable better voice quality and the possibility of adding more conference call participants. Skype has around 50 million users and accounts for 46 percent of all VoIP voice minutes, Gelsinger added.
