Ipko launches 3G network in Kosovo
Ipko has announced the activation of its 3G network in Kosovo. Initially, the operator will cover 80 percent of the population and 43.7 percent of the territory. The 3G network is currently available in the central areas of major cities and towns in Kosovo, with plans to expand the 3G network to cover 75 percent of the territory and 88 percent of the population in 2014. Ipko has automatically upgraded existing mobile internet users from 2G to 3G. The entry 3G package for pre-paid users is Mini, including 300 MB for EUR 1.95/month. The second package, Midi, comes with 500 MB and costs EUR 3.95/month, while the Maxi package includes 1 GB for EUR 4.95/month. All mobile internet packages also come with 5 GB free of WiFi download. New customers, when buying a new SIM card, will also get 100 MB for free.
