John de Mol owns 10 percent of Versatel shares
John de Mol extended its interest in Versatel from 5 to 10 percent, reports Planet Multimedia. This is at first confirmed by a Spokesperson of Versatel but with reservation. According the spokesperson De Mol joined with a market value of around 0.20 to 0.30 euro for the first 5 percent. The next 5 percent was bought for about the current value of 90 cents per share. According Frank Botman, of Talpa Capital (the capital investor of John de Mol in Hilversum) that’s better than expected, because it’s the price was by and large closer to 30 cents than the current value of 90 cents. Of a total of 456 million shares, Talpa has bought about 45 million shares for about EUR 15 million.
