KKR eyes Slovenia's Tusmobil - report
US investment fund Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co is aiming to purchase Slovenian mobile telephony operator Tusmobil, according to Finance.si. KKR recently purchased local cable operator Telemach. Tusmobil is owned by Slovenian businesman Mirko Tus. Tusmobil is in fact seeking capital to help finance its participation in the 4G mobile frequency auction as well as for the repayment of loans. Sources told the daily that the asking price is around EUR 150 million. Earlier speculation was that Deutsche Telekom, Tele2 and Huawei were interested in taking over Tusmobil.

Slovenia to call spectrum auction by end-2013

Tusmobil introduces new offer for pensioners

Slovenian operator Tusmobil has introduced Free 5, a new package offer for pensioners. For EUR 5 per month, customers get a Tusmobil Y1 mobile phone, as well as unlimited calls to the Tusmobil network, 100 minutes for other networks, 100 MB of data traffic, plus 100 SMS/MMS. In addition, during the first 4 months, customers will pay only 25 percent of the monthly subscription.

Tusmobil introduces own-brand smartphones

Slovenia mobile operator Tusmobil introduced a new line of white-label smartphones. At the same time, the operator announced that it will offer LTE services by year-end. At a press conference in Ljubljana, director Gregor Stampohar said that the complete line of Tusmobil smartphones includes six models, led by the flagship Tusmobil Sirius W980. Tusmobil adds new prepaid options

Slovenian operator Tusmobil announced that it will offer existing users of the Free2go, Cool, Hot Cool, Senior, and Seconds tariffs a new prepaid tariff called Free2Go+ from 31 October. With each EUR 10 top-up, customers will receive the Unlimited Comfort plan, with 30 days of unlimited calls to Tusmobil users and 30 days of unlimited SMS and MMS messages to all Slovenian networks. With a EUR 20 top-up, customers also get 30 days unlimited browsing on the internet.
