KPN introduces 500 Mbps via fibre networks

KPN has adjusted its fibre-based triple play offerings, according to the company website. New packages Instap (entry-level), Standaard and Premium have replaced the previous Bronze, Silver and Gold deals. For EUR 55 per month, the Instap customer can get internet speeds at 50 Mbps down and up. The Standaard package costs EUR 65 per month and offers 100 Mbps down and up. For EUR 85 per month, Premium subscribers get 500 Mbps symmetrical internet speeds. The Standaard and Premium packages include a Spotify Premium subscription worth EUR 10 per month. For new subscribers, all the new deals will cost EUR 45 per month for the first three months. The Premium package is not available on all fibre optic networks in the Netherlands, as it is not possible to offer 500 Mbps everywhere. In the small print, KPN said that the wireless modem is provided on loan. The minimum contract is for one year and an activation fee of EUR 25 is applicable to all deals, plus EUR 10 to ship the installation pack. KPN was not available for comment.
