KPN Mobile is going to announce shortly the introduction of an i-mode mobile phone with built in camera. This in order to tackle the success of Vodafone live with their successful introduction of a mobile phone with built in camera at the end of last year. Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo announced in January that sales of i-shot handsets, mobile phones with camera included, had topped the five million mark, less than one month after reaching the four million sales level. NTT DoCoMo launched i-shot in June 2002. DoCoMo's i-shot service allows subscribers to transmit still images taken with compatible mobile phones having built-in cameras to virtually any device capable of receiving e-mail.
