KPN names BA exec Van der Post as new CCO
KPN has appointed Frank van der Post (53) its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and board member. Following approval by a shareholders meeting, he is expected to take up the post from 01 March 2015. Van der Post has served on the BA board since 2011 and was before that COO of the Jumeirah Group in Dubai. 

His compensation is set at EUR 700,000 per year, plus short- and long-term variable components paid in respectively cash and shares. He will also receive compensation of EUR 1.2 million in cash and shares for giving up his current job at BA, where he serves as managing director for brands and customer experience. This compensation will also need to be approved by the EGM.

KPN shareholders approve Van der Post as CCO

Shareholders of KPN have approved the appointment of Frank van der Post as the new CCO of the Dutch operator. They also approved a compensation package for the executive, including a base salary of EUR 700,000 and a range of short- and long-term bonuses. In addition, he will receive EUR 1.19 million compensation for ending his contract with his previous employer, British Airways. Van der Post will take up the new job from 01 March.

KPN plans EGM to approve Van der Post appointment

KPN will hold an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on 09 January to approve the appointment of Frank van der Post as board member and chief commercial officer. Van der Post will receive a basic salary of EUR 700,000 as well as short- and long-term bonuses based on performance. KPN is also offering him EUR 1.19 million over four years as compensation for leaving his current employer British Airways. Shareholders must approve the compensation agreement.

KPN CEO: 4G crucial part of integration strategy

KPN has attracted 1.7 million 4G customers in the year and a half since it first launched LTE. KPN CEO Eelco Blok gave the figures in a presentation at Telecompaper's Mobiel 2014 conference. According to the CEO, not just early adopters, but also customers migrating from 3G, are using more data as a result of the faster speeds on 4G, at 2.5-4 times more than on the 3G network. KPN confirms De Jager as CFO

KPN's shareholders and supervisory board have approved the appointment of Jan-Kees de Jager as CFO of the Dutch operator. Steven van Schilfgaarde will remain interim CFO until 01 November. KPN announced in July the appointment of the former finance minister. De Jager served as state finance secretary from 2007 to 2010 and then as minister of finance until 2012. He has also led the ICT company ISM eCompany, where he has worked since 1992.
