KT to invest KRW 23 trillion in 5G, other services in next five years

South Korean operator KT Group has unveiled a plan to invest a total of KRW 23 trillion (approximately USD 20.4 billion) over the next five years in 5G and other innovative technologies. KT has also recently inaugurated the 5G Open Lab at its Research and Development (R&D) center in Seoul, which will promote industrial collaborations with both local and global business partners. The lab is aimed at developing new services using 5G wireless technology.
