Lavazza family invests in VoD service Chili

The family behind coffee company Lavazza has acquired a minority stake in Italian VoD service Chili, reports the Financial Times. The family paid around EUR 25 million for a 25 percent stake in Chili, which also counts Sony Pictures and Paramount among its investors. 

Chili expects revenues of around EUR 30 million this year, up from EUR 7 million in 2016. EBITDA is expected to be about EUR 3.4 million, down from EUR 6.5 million last year. The company has about 1 million users.
