Lenovo launches Legion 5G gaming smartphone in China

Lenovo announced a new smartphone dedicated to gamers. The 5G Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is designed to be used in horizontal mode, with the charging port on the centre side, and comes with features like a dashboard to optimise hardware and network settings and quickly access games, 90W fast charging of dual batteries, and virtual gamepad and recording controls with the Legion Assistant. 

The phone runs Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Mobile Platform along with Android 10, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It features a 6.65-inch Full HD (2340 x 1080) Amoled display with 144Hz refresh rate and two 2,500 MHz batteries to help cool the device during intense use. The 20-megapixel front camera is hidden in a pop-up lens that can be activated for live streaming, and the back camera comes with a 64-megapixel quad pixel sensor. 

The smartphone is planned to launch first in China under the name Lenovo Legion Phone Pro this month. It will hit select markets in Asia Pacific, EMEA and Latin America later.
