Lenovo launches smartphones in Nigeria

Lenovo has unveiled its smartphone portfolio in Nigeria. Consumers in the country will be the first on the African continent to access the Chinese firm's phones, including the flagship Vibe X smartphone. The company said each of the smartphones comes with a one-year local warranty, and all will be available at major retail shops next month. The range includes entry-level devices, such as the A369i, A516, A680, and A859; the S650 and S930; and the sleek Vibe X. Africa GM Graham Braum said that with more than 120 million mobile subscribers, Nigeria represents a strategic market for Lenovo's smartphone business. The company is already the second-largest PC vendor in Nigeria, with a 13.2 percent market share according to IDC.
