LG Electronics is expanding its app developer programme with the launch of a new software development kit (SDK) for LG's multi-tasking functionality called QSlide Function. QSlide Function is a feature on LG mobile devices that allows end users to view multiple apps simultaneously in separate, resizable windows. The LG QSlide SDK function will enable developers to create Android smartphone apps that can be opened in size-adjustable windows, but also will allow developers to customise their apps for other consumer benefits.
LG QSlide Function key features include the ability to switch the mode between floating and full screen window, the ability to adjust transparency, size and position of the floating window, the ability to customise styles of the floating window and the ability to add the application's launch icon to the notification bar. LG will demonstrate the LG QSlide Function and LG QRemote SDKs at Apps World North America 2014, taking place 5-6 February at Moscone in San Francisco.
