LG said the phone will be launching soon across the US, at AT&T, B&H, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, select Best Buy stores and BestBuy.com. It will also launch in Korea this month, followed by other regions.
The smartphone features a 5.7-inch IPS screen and 3,200 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with X12 LTE modem supporting up to 600 Mbps. It includes 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 2 TB of additional storage. The front camera offers 5MP with F1.9 aperture, and the rear 16MP camera comes with a choice of F1.8 aperture with OIS and 8MP with the wider F2.4.
The V20 introduces Steady Record 2.0, a Qualcomm technology for electronic image stabilization to record smooth video footage and reduce shaky images. V20 owners also can record 'hi-fi' videos with manual controls for the audio settings in their video recordings, while the 32-bit quad DAC, powered by ESS Technology, delivers clearer sound by minimizing distortion and ambient noise during playback. The HD Audio Recorder lets users capture quality audio with a wider dynamic frequency range using three high AOP microphones.
The V20 will be available in a choice of titan or silver colours. As an introductory offer, LG is giving away a pair of B&O Play H3 Lightweight Earphones with each purchase of the V20.
