LG unveils new L series smartphones for 3G markets
LG Electronics will unveil two new phones in its affordable L Series at Ifa in Berlin. The L Fino and L Bello are aimed at young people and first-time smartphone owners in emerging 3G markets. They come with quad-core processors, 8 megapixel cameras and LG's UX user interface featured on more high-end phones.

LG said consumer behavior research shows that the camera is one of the key deciding factors for first-time and teenage customers when choosing a smartphone. As a result, the new L series features a better camera than most smartphones in this price category. The new phones also come with LG's Knock Code system for unlocking the screen and work with LG's QuickCircle cases.

Starting this month, LG will begin rolling out the L Fino and L Bello in key 3G markets in Latin America, with countries in Europe, Asia and CIS to follow. Prices and additional details of availability will be announced locally at the time of launch.

The L Fino will be available in a range of colours and comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display with 800x400 resolution. It runs Android 4.4.2, includes 1 GB RAM and 4 GB storage, and supports up to 21 Mbps HSPA. The L Bello comes with a 5.0-inch IPS display at 858x480 resolution and includes 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory. It also runs Android 4.4.2 and HSPA and will be available in a choice of white, black or gold.
