
LG Uplus accelerates LTE plans

Korean communications provider LG Uplus has accelerated its LTE plans. The company now plans to offer LTE services in 82 cities around Korea before the end of this year and plans to complete the nationwide LTE network in July next year, news agency Yonhap News reports. Originally, LG Uplus planned to launch the service nationwide from 2013. LG Uplus is hoping that that the LTE service will help it gain back market share and will invest KRW 1.25 trillion in the service over two years.
