M1 shareholders abandon stake sale plans
Majority shareholders of Singapore operator M1 have decided not to proceed with their plans to sell their combined majority stake in the company. The shareholders, namely Axiata, Keppel Telecommunications and Transportation, and Singapore Press said that they have taken into consideration the proposals from interested parties, and despite a favourable level of interest, the offers did not meet the minimum criteria set by the majority shareholders. No arrangement or agreement with any third party has been reached in relation to each majority shareholders' respective shareholdings in M1, Axiata also said.
