
D'Halluin has served as CEO of Zodiak Media, Showtime Arabia, Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) in Dubai and Canal+ Nordic. He will focus on building the M7 brands as well as keeping track of the latest trends in the TV market.
Troelstra is already a member of the M7 Group, having worked as COO for six years, helping the company to grow to over 3 million subscribers. M7 said Troelstra will lead the transition from a pure satellite TV provider to a full hybrid platform. Troelstra said the company aims to improve communication with customers so they can benefit fully from its wide range of content.
Troelstra replaces Marco Visser as CEO, who held the position since November 2013. Since then M7's majority shareholder has changed from Providence Equity Partners to private equity group Astorg. Van Rooijen comes from Tele2 Netherlands, where he worked for 15 years. He last served as CFO there and left Tele2 last November.
M7 operates the platforms CanalDigitaal and Online.nl in the Netherlands, TV Vlaanderen and TeleSat in Belgium, AustriaSat in Austria and Hungary, and CSLink and Skylink for the Czech and Slovak markets.
