Maroc Telecom launches two new unlimited offers

Maroc Telecom is offer two subscription plans that offer unlimited domestic voice and SMS, international calls and 3G Internet. It is also adding many call hours and more internet capacity to all its mobile plans. For MAD 199, it is offering the Unlimited National Mobile plan, which provides unlimited domestic calls and SMS, a credit of MAD 125 for international calls, and 3 GB of Internet. For MAD 399, Maroc Telecom is offering the Unlimited National and International Mobile plan, with unlimited national and international calls and SMS (Zone 1), a credit of MAD 125 for International calls to Zones 2 and 3, and 12 GB of internet.

The Complete Unlimited Mobile plan has been enhanced by the addition of a bonus of MAD 150 for international calls and SMS to Zones 2 and 3. Customers on this plan also have the benefit of a 'Data Only' card to be used exclusively for the internet, and an emergency SIM card in case their original one is lost or stolen.

In addition, Maroc Telecom is significantly increasing the number of call hours and internet capacity it offers for its line of mobile plans starting at MAD 99, at no extra cost. The ten-hour plan at MAD 180 with all taxes included will now have 30 call hours within Morocco and internationally within Zone 1, and 4 GB of free internet. The three-hour Liberty plan at MAD 99 becomes eight call hours, one unlimited free number, 500 SMS, and 1 GB of free internet at the same price.

Maroc Telecom launched an SMS contest whose prize-pool comprises 4x4 Mercedes GLC cars. A car per week will be awarded following weekly draws that will be held between 16 November 2015 and 24 January 2016. Maroc Telecom has launched its "Pass Video" offering mobile access to YouTube and DailyMotion. Top-ups for the new service start at 5 MAD offer "very advantageous" data volumes allowing customers to view and post videos over 3G and 4G networks.

Maroc Telecom Morocco revenue down 2% to MAD 10.44 bln

Maroc Telecom's operations in Morocco posted a 2 percent decline in revenues for the first half ended 30 June to MAD 10.44 billion, hit by a decrease in mobile revenues of 7.6 percent in a market under continued price pressure. This decrease was partially offset by the strong performance of fixed line and internet activities, which grew by 9.0 percent year-on-year.

Maroc Telecom Group's revenues for the first half to 30 June rose by 13.9 percent to MAD 16. 58 billion compared with the first half of 2014, thanks to the consolidation of the six African subsidiaries into the group. Revenues were stable, as a 2.0 percent decline of revenues in Morocco was offset by a 5.3 percent increase in revenues at the international subsidiaries.

Morocco had 43.39 million mobile phone users at the end of March, the same number as a year earlier, for a slightly over 128 percent penetration rate. Maroc Telecom Morocco said that the number of its customers declined slightly by 0.9 percent to 18.2 million year-on-year in the first quarter.
