Spanish telecommunications provider MasMovil Ibercom has moved into the top 5 of Spanish operators after announcing the successful completion of a EUR 25 million capital increase. The company that resulted from the recent merger of Spanish operators Ibercom and MasMovil said the capital hike was the largest ever achieved in the history of Madrid's MAB alternative stock exchange and was subscribed by "top-of-the-range institutional investors, leading to a major leap in the quality and professional experience of the company shareholder base." As a result, the company is to press ahead with its plans to leave Madrid's MAB alternative stock exchange, the transparency of which has been called into question following the collapse of Wi-Fi provider Gowex, to trade on the official stock exchange.
