
Megafon files for IPO in London, Moscow - report

Russian mobile operator Megafon has filed for an initial public offering of shares. The company plans to float a 20 percent stake that could be worth up to USD 4 billion, people familiar with the matter told the Financial Times. The stake will be sold in Moscow and London via global depositary receipts. "We are preparing for the IPO but are still looking at what the market situation is," the company said. Megafon is considering carrying out the issue in the next month. Russian site Dp.ru also reported that Megafon has submitted an application to the Federal Service for Financial Markets to hold an IPO abroad.
