Meo teams up with Samsung on all-digital music talent show

Altice Portugal’s brand Meo is sponsoring a new all-digital music talent show called “Meo The Search by Samsung Galaxy Z”. All interaction will be online, via Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Sapo, TikTok and on TV via the app created on the Meo box. Applications will run throughout September.

Samsung will join Meo with its new Galaxy Z 5G smartphone promoted throughout the project. Other sponsors include SEAT Portugal, Millennium bcp and Super Bock. Sapo and Radio Comercial are media partners, production is handled by the company Livestreaming Portugal and the music management is from RedMojo. Olivia Ortiz is the face presenting the competition. 

The show will start with entries of home-made mobile phone recordings, with several thematic rounds to select finalists. The winners will end up in the country's biggest concert halls, with a grand final and the winner performing on the main stage of the Meo Mares Vivas festival in 2022. In addition, the winner will receive a recording deal, two music videos, EUR 15,000, one month at the wheel of a new Seat Ibiza, a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G and 12 months of service from Meo.
