Mexico's Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) reported that it has distributed over 4.3 million digital TV devices in 730 municipalities, as part of the transition process to DTT. This means over 90 percent of low-income households as defined by the Ministry of Social Development have received the equipment for digital TV in areas with analogue TV channels. The deadline for the digital switchover is scheduled for 31 December.
