Microsoft stops Groove Music, bringing Spotify to customers instead
Microsoft has announced it will be stopping Groove Music and instead bring Spotify to Groove Music Pass customers. From this week, customers will be able to move all their curated playlists and collections directly into Spotify. They will also be eligible for a 60-day free trial of Spotify Premium. From 31 December, the Groove Music app will no longer offer the option to stream, purchase or download music. It will continue to support playback and music management of owned content.

Microsoft bought Groove Music from Zikera in February 2016, after earlier renaming its own music service Xbox Music to Groove.
