Mid Europa Partners to sell Bite Group - report
Private equity firm  Mid Europa Partners plans to sell Bite Finance International (BFI), the owner of the Baltic mobile operator Bite, reports BNS. The Netherlands-based company owns mobile operators Bite Lithuania and Bite Latvia. According to unspecified sources, the deal could take place in the beginning of 2015. Tele2 Group is considered a potential buyer. BFI also owns Lithuanian company TeleTower and the MVNO Eurocom, working over the Bite Lithuania network.

Bite Latvia targets 2nd place in mobile market

Mobile operator Bite Latvia plans to move up to second place in the Latvian mobile market in four to five years, reports BNS citing Fred Hrenchuk, the chairman of the operator. Bite will take subscribers from mobile operators Tele2 Latvia and LMT gradually, he said. Around 60 percent of new subscribers currently switch to the Bite Latvia network from Tele2 Latvia and the rest from LMT.

Bite Lithuania Q3 revenues fall, Bita Latvia's lift

Mobile operator Bite Lithuania recorded third quarter revenues falling to LTL 107.9 million from 110.5 million year-on-year, with EBITDA sliding to LTL 31.3 million from 38.5 million. Revenues at Bite Latvia grew to 53.2 million from 52.2 million. EBITDA lifted to LTL 11.9 million from 9.7 million. Revenues of the Bite group amounted to LTL 147.6 million, down from 153.8 million, while EBITDA declined to LTL 44.9 million from 50.2 million. Bite Latvia passes half million customers

Mobile operator Bite Latvia announced that its subscribers base has exceeded the milestone of 500,000. The operator provides services in the Latvian market for nine years. It forms part of the Bite Group, which also includes the mobile operator Bite Lithuania.

Bite Lithuania to invest LTL 172 mln in LTE-A network

Mobile operator Bite Lithuania has launched its LTE-Advanced network at the Baltic Sea coastal resorts of Palanga and Nida, with LTE-Advanced Wi-Fi hot-spots installed at numerous restaurants. The operator plans to invest LTL 172 million in the expansion and upgrade of its network over the next several years. Networks will be launched in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai and Panevezys by the end of March 2015. The operator also plans to expand its portfolio of LTE-A end-user devices at its shops.

Bite Q2 revenues fall in Lithuania, rise in Latvia

Mobile operator Bite Lithuania reported revenues falling to LTL 97.7 million in the second quarter from 106.4 million the year before. EBITDA slid to LTL 30.1 million from LTL 35.9 million. Revenues at mobile operator Bite Latvia grew to LTL 49.8 million from 47.7 million, with EBITDA rising to LTL 10.4 million from 9.4 million.
