mmO2 chairman to step down next year
mm02 chairman David Varney announced to step down in the middle of next year. The company said to the Financial Times Mr Varney had already said he wished to retire before mmO2's annual general meeting in next July 2004, and his contract will run out in next April. Mr Varney has steered the mobile phone operator through its demerger from BT Group.
