MTN changes management in Ghana, Nigeria, SA
MTN Group has made key appointments to bolster its group leadership structure and at key operations in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. Under the changes, Michael Ikpoki, currently CEO of MTN Ghana, becomes the new CEO of MTN Nigeria. This follows the earlier announced appointment of Brett Goschen, the previous CEO in Nigeria, as interim CFO for the group. Ikpoki was appointed CEO of MTN Ghana in April 2011 after running MTN Nigeria's Sales and Distribution channel from 2006. Serame Taukobong, CMO of MTN South Africa, will become the new CEO of MTN Ghana. Brian Gouldie, Chief Customer Sales, Service and Distribution Officer at MTN SA, will take over as CMO at the South African unit, and Farhad Khan, Executive for the Group Enterprise Business Unit, will replace Gouldie as Chief Customer Sales, Service and Distribution Officer at MTN SA. Khan is the former CEO of MTN Zambia. In addition, Philisiwe Sibiya, Executive in Group Finance, is the new CFO of MTN SA. Prior to joining MTN, she served with Arthur Anderson, Prime Media and Cell C.
